The administrative assistant union representativeshandles invoicing for the department, onboarding from the Communicationsand offboarding coordination, uniform and Workers of America (CWA)supply orders, inventory management, facility have been working moremaintenance work orders and IT tickets, and closely than ever this year.general support for the administrative team We look forward to ourand floor staff. Our AA played an integral part continued partnership withduring the Workday implementation as a trainer a tight focus on employee- and department resource. She is also part of the centric practices that benefitCitys risk management team and serves as our all employees at the PSCD.departments fire warden.PIO/IIO and Employee Intros The newly formed PSCD Internal Information Office (IIO) was created to improve internal communication. With recruitment and hiring on the rise this year, the IIO began collaborating with the Training Bureau to formally introduce new staff to the entire team. The IIOs schedule an hour with each class in the first couple of weeks in the classroom to introduce themselves and get to know the trainees on a more personal level. The IIOs ask them about their background, education, family life, goals, and whatWe advanced the Executive Assistant brought them to the PSCD.position up to a Management Assistant This has paved the way for our newest members to haverole. The MA focuses on operations an increased level of comfortmanagement for the department, including with existing staff.
