b'ADMINISTRATIVESERVICES BUREAUcontinued Peer FitnessTraining ProgramA fully equipped wellness center with gym equipment was included in our remodel, and, with the generous support of the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation, we sent two staff members to become ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified. They are now able to design workout programs for employees, provide one-on-one fitness training, and send nutrition and workout tips to all staff! In response to staff requests, we also added equipment that can be used on the operations floor: balance ball chairs, anti-fatigue mats and balance boards.Employee EngagementBecoming our own department and establishing our own identity has been at the forefront. This year, PSCD staff members participated in over 20 community events! This included charity galas, tree planting events, the opening of the Ward 4 Splash Pad, the Over the Edge event for the Girl Scouts, multiple 5Ks, the 9-1-1 Tower Challenge, and volunteering to set up and serve a Thanksgiving dinner at the Boys and Girls Club. Staff didnt miss an opportunity to participate and proudly wore their bright yellow volunteer shirts to let everyone know that the PSCD was in attendance. 22CITY OF TUCSON n PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT'
